Day 3 after a drug-eluting stent, reviewing the discharge prescription before it is printed.

  • Anterior ST-elevation myocardial infarction, primary PCI with a drug-eluting stent to the left anterior descending artery.
  • Ejection fraction 38% on the pre-discharge echocardiogram.
  • Type 2 diabetes for eight years; long-standing reflux.
  • Smokes 15 a day and has not yet been asked about it.
  • Creatinine and potassium normal today.
